Behold! I offer a second nomination, just to give us an option from outside of the 90s/early 00s.
Runaway (1984)
Tom Selleck is "a cop who works on the runaway squad, which specializes in recovering and disabling malfunctioning robots."
Gene Simmons is "a mad computer boffin with a suitcase full of killer microchips and an arsenal of high-tech weaponry – including a gun which fires heat-seeking bullets."
Kirstie Alley is also there.
Written and directed by Michael Crichton, who opined after finishing this film that he was "bored with special effects."
And, much like Wild Wild West, this film also apparently features robot spiders. We are getting close to Halloween, after all. |
