The above notification seems like an oddly appropriate commentary on the Fortnightly Film Society.
I'll say! Indeed a problem has repeatedly occurred. 99 times, in fact. This will be our 99th problem (but a bitch ain't one).
That's right. This is the 99th meeting of the FFS! 99 unholy infractions against the Gods of Cinema. How can we ever atone?
Perhaps by watching ... 99 Problems, a short Irish documentary about the hidden world of ice-cream van turf wars. I was dumbstruck to discover that, for our 99th edition, in a week where Irish seem to be the theme, I managed to find an Irish film with a genuinely bonkers topic that also happens to have "99" in its title. It's also only 13 minutes long, so we could potentially watch it in addition to any other winner.):
