oh my GAWD, I cannot deal with old school Ahnold (having also seen Hercules in NY). What about some early NEW (but still pretty old) school Ahnold? My first thought was that this movie was TOO GOOD to nominate from my youthful recollection, and then I read some awful reviews, and remembered it a little more clearly, so I think it works perfectly. Directed by the too-soon departed Ivan Reitman, keep in mind that there has been a long-standing sequel in the works, TRIPLETS, originally intended to star Eddie Murphy, but now potentially replaced with Tracy Morgan, set to start filming this year! (maybe)
Personal anecdote: I'm 90% sure this is the movie I saw in the theaters with my parents (1988), and asked afterwards if Arnold was wearing some sort of costume plastic chest, because I didn't think men could have chests like that. Thus kicking off a lot of confusing feelings about Arnold over the years. |
