Hello to all! -- and heartfelt, deepest condolences to those who joined for last night's screening of Return to Oz. I'm sure we're all aware of the popular theory holding that the original Wizard of Oz story was intended as an allegory about the gold standard; one shudders to think what the movie we watched last night (which was based upon L. Frank Baum's dubious sequels) was trying to say about the Bull Moose Party.
Anyway, the Fortnightly Film Society's Shadowy Governing Brain Trust™ (Pat. Pend.) is proud to announce that our next installment (scheduled for 12/19/2020) will be a special holiday edition! To that end, we hereby issue our non-binding recommendation that nominations for our next film be holiday-themed. |
