Join The Fortnightly Film Society's Shadowy Governing Brain Trust™ (Pat. Pend.), won't you, on a trip back through time to those halcyon springtime days of 2020! Families sheltering in place donned their finest petticoats and codpieces to dance the Lindy Hop in their drawing rooms while watching the series finale of M*A*S*H! Energy prices had hit an all-time high following the Ionian assault on the warp core mining facility on Zorgblax-5! And a ragtag band of guitar-strumming computer nerds in a Seattle-area garage, armed only with the glints in their eyes and their shared love of stupid movies, were about to start the most consequential film appreciation club in the history of the universe.
Who can believe it's been five (5) years since then? Not Mrs. Brain Trust, that's for sure. By way of celebration of this momentous anniversary, this week all Cinéastes in Good Standing are invited to submit their favorite past FFS nominees that have never won. Only past FFS also-ran nominees will move on to the voting: no past winners, and nothing new.
And where might said Cinéastes in Good Standing peruse such past FFS also-ran nominees? Why, on the FFS Website! Go to the blue "Movies Database" section, then use the filter for "Nominated But Never Won".
